League Commentary

As we approach a new season I was asked to interlude with a little piece on the league as a whole. The Stanislaus MSBL is one of my favorite non professional baseball leagues in the state. I have spent most of my life in the San Diego area and have seen some very competitive baseball. My opinion on the SMSBL is that this area has some of the best baseball players around. The competition is intense and as proven by the tourney teams success rate these players in the SMSBL can compete with anyone. The league's home field, Pedretti Park, located in Turlock, Ca is very well maintained and is a nice fit for the community and an excellent place to catch a ballgame. I greatly appreciate my friendship with Nationals manager Brian Murphy for initially turning me on to this league and I enjoyed covering the Nationals games. Thank you Mr. Cdub for allowing me to submit this excerpt and I look forward to providing some coverage and commentary this season as well!
